I'd like to a big thank you to the staff at Ward 1B. Everyone was very supportive and compassionate of me and my partner (Ricky, not Chris!?) when we lost our son. I want to pay special thanks to Support Worker, Wendy. She made, an awful time for us, that little bit better. When I had just birthed our baby, who we have gone on to name Jacob, Wendy held me whilst I sobbed, I repeatedly apologised and Wendy told me to never apologise for this. The loss of our baby was ultimately out of our control. It's taken me a lot to work through these emotions, but I often think about that day for many reasons. One is because I felt so supported and cared for. I have wanted to thank you all, but didn't know how to, what with the restrictions. I am so pleased I saw this forum on the news today, and I can only hope it reaches you all.
