To: Bryan Rutland and also The Alzheimer's Society

Thank you to Bryan (my ex-neighbour) for his painstaking devotion to support and care for his son's wife who has advanced dementia at the age of 52 and needs 24/7 attention. Bryan is not in the best of health himself, and he spent all of last year, 6 days a week, caring for Molly by day so that his son could keep working. It was then that we all discovered support for dementia of this kind in younger people is not so readily available. The Alzheimer's Society helped with advice, but it is Bryan who was the hero of the day.

To: Tony Christie, Sting and Nile Rogers

My mother suffered with Dementia but she never lost the ability to play the piano. I know the power of music in all its forms can have not just for dementia but many other mental health problems, Having sung for many years in a male Voice Choir I see the power it has over people. I am on Phoenix Country Radio each Sunday and this Sunday I will open the programme with the Song for all my listeners (around 800) to sing along with, so thank you for this song.

Keith Poole

To: Tony Christie

I would like to say a big thank you to the great Tony Christie, for getting involved with Music for Dementia and spearheading this years Thank You Day campaign, He has really helped a lot of people living with dementia to open up and talk about it, such bravery and for Tony's time and effort in recording this year's theme song 'Thank You For Being a Friend' and for taking the time to talk to me for the Thank You Day podcast!

Wallsend Jobcentre Plus, Wallsend , Tyne and Wear

I'd just like to say thanks to Stacey as she is a one of a kind Job advisor. I met her by chance and was going through a court case, which included domestic violence etc. She replied 'you're staying with me' and has been my job advisor since. She got me all the support I needed, including breaks from job searching when things got really tough. Eventually she helped me get into my first job after a career break of almost 7 years. She is absolutely incredible, always asking if I need extra support. I really don't know how I would have coped without her! Recently I felt really down in the Jobcentre and she took me into a seperate room. She really helped to calm me down and made sure that I had all the help in place needed. She really is a one of a kind
